Recent Non-Working Hours Ambient Air Data

The non-working hours ambient air monitoring samples are being collected from high volume air samplers (HV-1, HV-2, HV-3 and HV-4).  An additional sample was also collected from a fifth sampler along the Sulphur Creek side of the Site.

Put your cursor over the name of a location (HV-1, HV-2, HV-3, or HV-4) to view non-working hour ambient air data  from January 2, 2009 to January 5, 2009.  The result for the sample collected along the Sulphur Creek side of the Site (south of where the the old basin is shown on the drawing below) was 0.005 ug/m3.   (Firefox users click here for a summary table.)

On October 15, 2008, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) lowered the National Ambient Air Quality Lead Standard from a quarterly average of 1.5 µg/m3 to a rolling three-month average of 0.15 µg/m3, effective October 2009. The method of collecting the samples did not change.  All results are below the current standard for the Site of 1.5 ug/m3 and below the revised NAAQS standard of 0.15 ug/m3.

*HV = High Volume air sampler.  Click here for an explanation.
